On behalf of the organization committee, I am pleased to invite you to attend the 7th International Transportation Ph.D. Student Symposium scheduled to be held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in Hong Kong in October 25-26, 2018.
The International Transportation Ph.D. Student Symposium will bring together PhD students and internationally recognized faculty in pavements from around the world to share the latest in pavement engineering research. This event is a follow-on to the International Transportation Ph.D. Student Symposia hosted by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2012, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2013, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2014, HIT in 2015, Delft University of Technology in 2016, and UIUC in 2017.
The format of the symposium will be short oral presentations by each participating PhD student, followed by faculty’s quick comments/questions, and interactive discussion at the poster sessions. Feedback from faculty will be provided to each PhD student and the best research presentations will be awarded at the end. For your reference, the agenda of last year’s PhD forum is attached.
